Recently, Quedgeley Brownies swapped their badges and crafts for bin bags and hi-vis vests as they headed out into the community for a community litter pick, and what a difference they made!

Armed with plenty of enthusiasm, the 22 volunteers set out to tidy up the public paths and green spaces around Quedgeley. From discarded wrappers to plastic bottles hiding in the hedges, they were determined to find every last piece of rubbish.

By the end of the session, the Brownies had collected 4 black bags full of litter, leaving the area noticeably cleaner and brighter. The final collection weighed in at a brilliant 7.87 kilograms!

The activity wasnโt only about improving Quedgeley, it also helped the Brownies learn about responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of caring for the environment.

The Brownies worked with such positivity and determination, and we are sure their efforts have inspired others in the community to take action too. Whether itโs disposing of rubbish properly, recycling more often, or picking up the occasional stray wrapper, everyone can play a part!

Thank you to Quedgely Brownies for having us, and well done for all of your hard work! We hope you are feeling inspired after our visit ๐
