We recently had the pleasure of travelling to Milton Keynes, where we were joined by 14 fantastic volunteers from Firebolt Group for a corporate litter pick at Campbell Park.
Armed with litter pickers, gloves, buckets and bin bags, the volunteers set off across the park, determined to make a difference. Together, they tackled litter hidden amongst the grass, pathways and hedgerows, collecting everything from plastic bottles and drinks cans to crisp packets and cigarette butts.
By the end of the clean, the team had collected several bags of litter, removing approximately 22.71kg of waste from this much-loved green space. Every piece of litter removed helps protect local wildlife, improve the park for visitors and prevent waste from making its way into our waterways.
Corporate volunteering days like this are a fantastic way for businesses to give back to their local community while bringing colleagues together outside the workplace. Firebolt Group’s enthusiasm and teamwork made a real difference, and we’re incredibly grateful for their support.
