Gloucester Gladiators get grabbing!

Last week, we were thrilled to team up with the Gloucester Gladiators for a fantastic community litter pick through Gloucester city centre.

Armed with litter pickers, bags, and plenty of enthusiasm, the group spent the evening cleaning around Gloucester Cathedral and throughout the town centre, helping to tackle the growing issue of litter pollution in our local communities.

By the end of the clean, the Gladiators had collected an incredible 17.3 kilograms of litter from the streets of Gloucester. From plastic bottles and food packaging to cigarette butts and cans, every piece removed was one less item polluting our environment and waterways.

At Life’s a Beach, we’re passionate about showing that litter pollution is not just a coastal issue. Rubbish dropped in towns and cities can easily travel through drains and rivers before eventually reaching our beaches and oceans. That’s why community cleans like this are so important, every piece picked up makes a difference!

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Gloucester Gladiators for giving up their time to support their local environment. Their energy, teamwork, and dedication made a real impact, and it was amazing to see so many people getting involved to help keep Gloucester looking its best.

Community action is at the heart of what we do, and events like this show just how powerful collective effort can be. Whether it’s a beach clean, school session, festival litter pick, or city centre clean-up, every volunteer helps us move one step closer towards a cleaner, healthier planet.

Thank you again to everyone who took part – we can’t wait for the next one!
