A few weeks ago, we teamed up with 17th Gloucester Salvation Army Girlguides for a local litter pick! The Rainbows and Brownies rolled up their sleeves and made a real difference to the nearby area!

Armed with litter pickers, gloves, and big smiles, 23 enthusiastic volunteers took part in a one-hour litter pick around the area. Their teamwork and determination paid off as by the end of the session, they had collected an impressive 4 full bags of rubbish, weighing a total of 7.88 kilograms!

The girls showed incredible commitment to caring for the environment and helping keep our community a cleaner, safer place for everyone. Along the way, they learned how small actions can have a big impact and that working together makes even hard work fun.

This activity ties in perfectly with the Rainbow and Brownie values of helping others, taking responsibility, and making the world a better place. A huge well done to all the Rainbows and Brownies who took part!

Together, you’ve proven that even one hour can make a huge difference, and made a huge improvement to your local area!
