We were delighted to be back out with the fantastic 3rd Cam Rainbows for another litter pick in their local area!
Following their clean-up last year, the group returned with the same enthusiasm and determination to make a difference. This time, we focused on the areas surrounding the church where the Rainbows meet each week, including streets near many of the girls’ homes, highlighting just how directly they were improving their own local environment. With the help of 19 enthusiastic volunteers, the Rainbows geared up and set off to tackle litter in their community.

Armed with litter pickers, bags, and plenty of energy, the group carefully searched the area, collecting everything from food wrappers and plastic packaging to cans and other everyday items that had been left behind.

By the end of the session, the team had collected an impressive 3.9kg of litter, a fantastic achievement that shows just how much of an impact a dedicated group of volunteers can have in a short amount of time.

It was brilliant to see the Rainbows working together, supporting each other, and taking pride in improving their local area. A huge thank you to the 3rd Cam Rainbows and all the volunteers who took part, you should all be incredibly proud of your efforts. Every piece of litter collected makes a difference!
We hope this experience has inspired the group to continue taking action against litter and plastic pollution in the future. 🌍💚
