At Life’s a Beach, we’re always looking for new ways to get people involved in protecting our coastlines, because let’s face it, picking up litter isn’t always the most glamorous activity in the world.
That’s exactly why we’re so excited to be partnering with Bang the Drum Events and their brilliantly bold Disco Cleanups!
We’ve run hundreds of litter picks with schools, businesses and community groups. One thing we know for sure: when people enjoy the experience, they’re far more likely to come back and do it again!
Bang the Drum Events have taken that idea and turned it all the way up!
Their Disco Cleanups combine silent disco headsets, feel-good playlists and community energy with environmental action- creating an experience that’s as fun as it is impactful. Think dancing along the shoreline, meeting new people, and collecting litter without it ever feeling like hard work. Plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental challenges we face and it’s not going away anytime soon. Every beach clean makes a difference, removing waste before it breaks down into microplastics or harms marine life. But the real impact goes beyond the bags of litter collected.
It’s about changing behaviours, building habits, and showing people that they can be part of the solution.
