We had the pleasure of heading down to the beautiful seaside town of Teignmouth for another fantastic corporate beach clean, delivered in partnership with Optimising IT, Scott Richards Solicitors and Balanced Energy!
Joined by volunteers from Nevada Construction, Howden Insurance, Teapot, Smarter Accounting, Wilton Bradley and Porter Dodson, the volunteers came together for a beach clean, protecting our coastline and making a positive impact on the local environment.
Armed with litter pickers, gloves, buckets and plenty of enthusiasm, volunteers spent the morning combing Teignmouth’s beach and surrounding promenade, collecting litter before it had the chance to make its way into the sea. Every crisp packet, plastic bottle, cigarette butt and piece of discarded rubbish removed helps protect marine wildlife and keeps our beaches looking their best for both local residents and visitors.
There were some really interesting finds including a chair, a phone camera lens protector, a googly eye, a toy doll and a balloon!
Corporate clean-up events like this demonstrate the incredible difference businesses can make when they work together for a common cause. Not only do they provide a fantastic team-building and netwroking opportunity, but they also leave a lasting, positive impact on the communities they visit.
