For our third and final event of the year with CDW, we travelled up to Hunstanton in Norfolk. 17 amazing volunteers dedicated their time to cleaning the coastline, improving the environment for both local residents and marine life.

Our partnership with CDW this year has seen 3 very different corporate cleanup events from inner city Manchester, to a London park, and last but not least, the seaside!

The team did an absolutely incredible job at getting stuck into the beach, filling 14 black bags of rubbish. The litter was mainly the usual culprits of ghost gear, plastic wrappers and bottles. However, like always there were a couple of interesting items like a little toy, popped balloon and an empty oil container.

The importance of our work truly hit home when the volunteers came across a heartbreaking sight- a deceased baby seal. However, there was hope when they managed to rescue some marine life. An old oil container had become filled with crabs that we suspect had crawled in when they were smaller and grown too large to escape. One particularly dedicated volunteer carefully sawed the container open, and safely returned the crabs to the ocean.

Another great cleanup event with CDW resulting in a further 62.3 kilograms of litter removed from the environment! Thank you to all the volunteers who turned up, roaring and ready!

This year CDW have collected just shy of 325 kilograms of litter! An absolutely amazing outcome from the three cleanup events. Thank you CDW for choosing Life’s a Beach to help facilitate these clean ups and we cannot wait for 2026!
