16th Cheltenham Guides Litterpick

This week we teamed up with the 16th Cheltenham Guides for a community litter pick, and what a fantastic effort it was!

A total of 33 guides tackled Hester’s Way in Cheltenham, armed with gloves, litterpickers, and plenty of enthusiasm. Over the evening, we collected an impressive 25.96 kilograms of litter from the local area. That’s a huge improvement to the streets of Cheltenham!

Among the usual culprits of bottles, cans, and wrappers, there was a number of interesting finds including a box of pick β€˜n’ mix, a number of vapes, a baby sock and a damaged sports jacket. These little discoveries sparked plenty of laughter and added to the sense of fun throughout the day.

Most importantly, the event was filled with smiles, teamwork, and a real spirit. The Guides brought amazing energy and set a brilliant example of how young people can make a big difference to their local environment, whilst catching up with their friends, as this was the first meeting of the term!

A huge thank you to 16th Cheltenham Guides and everyone who joined in. Together, we’ve helped make Cheltenham cleaner, greener, and brighter for everyone.
