We teamed up with JMW for a fantastic beach clean at Crosby Beach, Merseyside, bringing together 17 dedicated volunteers and a few very helpful four-legged friends!
Armed with litter pickers and plenty of enthusiasm, the team set out to tackle the litter scattered across the beach. With the dogs joining in on the adventure, it was a great opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy some fresh air and make a real difference to the local environment.
By the end of the clean, the team had collected an incredible 107.9 kilograms of litter! That’s a huge amount of rubbish removed from the beach, helping to create a cleaner, safer space for people and wildlife to enjoy.
One of the biggest challenges of the day was a huge tyre buried in the sand. But our volunteers weren’t about to let that stop them! With plenty of determination and teamwork, they dug the tyre out and removed it from the beach. It was no easy task, but their hard work meant one less bulky piece of waste left behind to pollute our coastline.
A massive thank you to everyone at JMW who came along and got stuck in, and to their adorable canine companions for joining the team! It’s always brilliant to see businesses bringing their people together to support the environment, and we’re so grateful for the time and effort everyone put into making this clean such a success.
Every piece of litter removed makes a difference, and 107.9 kilograms is something to be proud of. We can’t wait to get out there again for another clean-up!
