Waste Less, Learn More: Our 2025 Journey So Far

🚸 15 Schools Visited

At Life’s a Beach, we believe change starts young. That’s why our Waste Less Schools Initiative is dedicated to educating and inspiring the next generation to take action against plastic pollution – and 2025 has already been a landmark year for our movement.

Since the start of the year, we’ve taken our message directly into 15 schools, primarily in Gloucestershire, but expanding across the South West. From coastal communities to city classrooms, each visit has helped us build stronger connections between young people and the environment.

Schools visited so far in 2025: Highnam School, Rowde C of E, Abbeyfarm school, The Grange Primary, New Close Primary School, Cam Woodfields Infants, West Ashton Primary School, Mitcheldean Primary, Cam Hoptons Primary, Brampton Abbots Primary School, Forest View Primary (x2), Eastington Primary School, Saint Whites Primary, Soudley Primary, All Saints Netheravon

👩‍🏫 2,484 Children Educated

So far, we’ve engaged 2,484 students in fun, interactive workshops designed to teach them about the causes and consequences of plastic pollution. Through hands-on learning, real-world examples, and group discussions, students not only learn the facts, they leave feeling empowered to make a difference in their communities.

🗑️ 118 Bags of Litter Collected

Our mission goes beyond the classroom. Each school visit includes a community litter pick, where students put what they’ve learned into action. Together, they’ve collected an incredible 118 bags of litter, showing that real environmental change can start with just a few helping hands.

⚖️ 156.78 Kilos of Litter Removed

That’s not just rubbish from bins, it’s 156.78 kilos of waste that’s no longer polluting our parks, playgrounds, and beaches. Every item picked up is a reminder of how small actions can lead to big impacts.

Plastic pollution is one of the most urgent environmental issues of our time. By focusing on schools, we’re equipping young people with the knowledge, tools, and motivation they need to become champions of sustainability – both now and in the future. And this is just the beginning. We’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far in 2025, but we’re not stopping here. More schools, more children, and more positive change are on the horizon.
